Terms of use for STATIQ
Version 1.2 · Effective from: 2026-10-08 · Provider: JIWA HOLDING AS, 832 249 092, c/o Patrik Rusthan Widenqvist, Jernbanegata 8, 1606 Fredrikstad, Norway
1. The service
STATIQ is an iOS app and a web application for recording basketball statistics live, checking quality and producing reports. The service has a Free plan and paid tiers with different features and limits. It is provided “as is” for amateur and youth sports and is not an official game report from a federation or league.
2. Account and responsibility
You must be over 18 to create an account. During onboarding you confirm your right to register the players on your team, that you use minimized data by default (jersey number and optionally a nickname), and that you respect players' and guardians' privacy expectations. If you choose protected name import, you must have a specific legal basis where GDPR applies, inform the players and set an expiry date in each team's privacy policy. The import confirmation records your decision; it is not consent from each player. You are responsible for your workspace content and for keeping your sign-in credentials secret.
3. Use and restrictions
You may not use the service to profile children, identify players beyond what the service provides for, bypass access controls, or share reports containing personal data outside the legitimate sporting purpose. We may suspend accounts for misuse, with notice where possible.
4. Free and subscriptions
The account starts on Free. Free provides one user and one active team. You can record opponent statistics at team level without a shot chart and preview PDFs while the game is open. A Free game cannot be finalized or saved and ends with “End without saving”.
Paid tiers enable saving, more teams, more users, detailed opponent statistics and shot charts within the chosen tier's limits. Single has one user, Multi three, Team seven and Club twenty. Each user with write access can record a separate game. Multi allows three participants in the same game; Team and Club allow six. Collaboration takes place in one shared game with assigned responsibilities. See the [subscription, cancellation and withdrawal terms](/legal/abonnementsvilkaar). Paid access lasts until the end of the paid period. The workspace then moves to Free. Downgrading does not start a deletion deadline, and previously saved history remains readable, exportable and deletable.
The owner may invite administrators, scorers and viewers. An administrator may invite scorers and viewers. An invitation lasts seven days and uses a free user seat while active. After downgrading, members outside the new limit may still read, export and request deletion, but cannot start new changes. A previously authorized participant may finish an already started game. Revoked memberships lose access immediately.
5. Your data
You own the data in your workspace. We process it only to provide the service (see the [privacy notice](/legal/personvernerklaering)) and provide structured exports. The event log is append-only; corrections are new events. Reports are versioned and locked on finalization.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Game recording works offline on iOS and synchronizes when connectivity returns. We may change the service; material changes are announced in the app.
7. Limitation of liability
Our liability is limited to what you paid in the last 12 months, except in cases of gross negligence or intent or where mandatory law provides otherwise. We are not responsible for results, selections or assessments based on the statistics.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time in the app or on the web; it is deactivated immediately and deleted/anonymized within 30 days (reversible within that period). We may terminate the agreement with 30 days' notice or immediately for material breach.
9. Governing law and disputes
Norwegian law applies without limiting your mandatory consumer rights. Disputes are heard by the courts under the applicable rules on jurisdiction and venue. Consumers retain the right to bring proceedings before the court for their usual place of residence where the law provides that right, and may ask Forbrukertilsynet for mediation.
